Ruby's first hair cut....

Okay it is true my beautiful girl had a mullet....Although she is the cutest thing to hit Idaho the mullet was bring her down so we took her for her first hair cut. She did great! It seems just like yesterday she was born....oh wait that was her sister :) At first she was not having it, she wanted noting to do with a little pampering...until you introduced the sucker and then she was more than willing to sit and be de-mulleted :)

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter is an understatement for this little girl! Ruby had a great day. It started with finding her Easter basket...needless to say, as you can see the expression on her face she was a big fan of the loot she scored from the Easter bunny...
Then it was off to church. It was stake conference this week so we were able to go with grandma and papa. Maddy is definitely coming into her little personality. I forgot how much I loved this size....Maddy does not squawk nearly as much as Ruby about all the fluff and bows that I inflict upon her.
My girls are the light of my life. Ruby's laugh can make any bad day disappear. She is an awesome big sister. Her favorite task she loves to help with is burping Maddy.

Maddy is constantly changing...She will be 7 weeks tomorrow and currently wearing 3-6 month clothing...heaven help me!! Ruby was always so petite...it appears Maddy will have the opposite problem :)

Uncle Dave (my kid brother) has been an influence on my sweet baby girl. He loves to teach her new faces to make...this is one of many!! Thanks uncle Dave....I will definitely be remembering this for when you have babies :)
No Easter would be complete without an egg hunt...accept Ruby is obsessed with "balls"...or what she believes to be "balls"...She thinks my bowl of tomatoes are balls...so she saw the eggs hiding out in the open....because lets be honest she is 17months and actually hiding them would have meant that we would still be out there looking for them...She went crazy and did so good with finding (aka collecting) the eggs.

Well we ended Easter with an awesome family dinner. This is Ruby going through her loot making the famous "mad face" that uncle Dave taught her. We hope that you all have equally great Easter holiday!!

Introducing Madison...

Madison Belle Colby was born March 7th, 2011 at 6:32pm. She weighed 7lbs. 11oz. She was 20in long. The new addition is our little toe head. She has platinum blond hair...she is her daddy all the way. If I wasn't the one pushing I would swear I wasn't the mom. Madison has been an absolute joy. She is so easy going and cuddly. I just wanted to post some pictures I will give more details later....
I love this picture...it is almost like she is telling grandma..."you take one more picture and...."

She was so cheesy when she came out...the nurse said it is a good sign of good skin...

Here is the proud poppa! Maddy happened to come on our 2nd wedding anniversary...Well if I have to share the day with another woman, I am glad it will be her!

Oh lets not forget big sister....She loves her baby....kind of :) If she can hold her or the attention is on Ruby we are good...other than that heaven help Maddy if she survives the first few months it will be a true miracle. I am confident that Ruby will be a great big sister!! I am so grateful for our little family...Clint and I are truly blessed!

2 down....

2 is the magic number this year for our family. Clint an I were married 2 years ago tomorrow! It is crazy to me that 2 years have passed. I swear I blinked and we arrived here. You might be asking yourself where "here" is? Well the last 2 years have been anything but boring. Five seconds after saying "I DO!!" we welcomed our first daughter Ruby. She has been an amazing joy in our life. She definitely brings the comic relief to family functions. We are so proud to be her parents. Five seconds after Ruby's arrival we found out that our home will be blessed with another blessing. Madisen will be making her arrival probably tomorrow actually....The plans are between Ruby's naps and a quick anniversary lunch I will be having a baby :) Never a dull moment! Between our family growing like crazy Clint and I have bought a house, we have both changed jobs, and Clint has changed his major.

2 years ago I married my best friend...I wake up amazed he picked me!! He constantly surprises me with his unconditional love. He is an amazing father and provider. Even though getting through the school years are challenging I would not want to face the challenges that we do with out him by my side! Our next big adventure is being sealed for all time and eternity. Clint I love you with all my heart...I look forward to many more amazing perfect years to come!!

Colby family update....

Well the last few weeks have been a little rough for our family. I was forced...and when I say forced I mean it...into bed rest. Madisen was trying to make an early arrival. I spent a few days in the hospital and when I was released I was put on bed rest, with crazy pills and strict rules not to pick up my Ruby. It was a long 2 weeks!! I went to the doctor today and although I am still having contractions I have not dilated anymore. Doc gave me clearance to pick up and love on Ruby again. Our family is so grateful for all the prayers and love that has been sent our way, WE are truly grateful! Clint and I are especially grateful for the family that stepped in and loved Ruby and spoiled her when I couldn't. And put up with me and my constant whinning about not being able to do anything.

To celebrate that I could play with Ruby again we played outside for awhile. She is my fearless daredevil. She is loves to go higher and higher on the swings. She seems to be growing leaps and bounds before our eyes. Her favorite game is pushing buttons and watching for the fall out. Her new favorite button to push is on papa's tv. She will turn it off...then scurry off as fast as possible with a somewhat of an evil giggle.

This last pic is to prove what some of you have already experienced....my daughter can unlock my phone and often calls random people in my phone book. Her favorite people that she seems to always call is Uncle Abby, my friend Jayna, and Sarah, and randomly the baby doc. I think she is calling the baby doc to ask him if there is anyway he can help her avoid the new addition. Princess Ruby is not that big on sharing the lime light right at this moment in time :) Ruby has also been texting people as well....Let me go on record as saying I am sorry!! Some might say take the phone from her but lately with the way I am feeling and as fast as she is....SHE WILL ALWAYS WIN!! There is no point in fighting the Ruby calls!

Tea for Ruby!!

Well this is Ruby's unofficial 1st birthday!! I can not believe that my baby is 1....Where did the time go. Like all good parties there was a theme. Grandma Green found this book "Tea for Ruby"...which inspired the good times....
Ruby must have her own princess cake....

Thank you uncle Big Al for the awesome decorations...Ruby loves you so much!! Don't forget!

Ruby is a big fan of strawberries and grandma Green's fruit dip....

This is a classic Ruby look....somewhat of a diva already heaven help us...

Sisterly love...Ruby does really well with Emalee but for some reason goes on attack with Lily...as captured in this picture :)

Ruby loves her stuffed animals....she is constantly giving them kisses...the birthday spoils brought a pig pillow that oinks at her....she sleeps with it every night and loves it!!

Look out she is mobile!

What a day people....thank you for everyone that came and celebrated a great year of growing with us! Happy Birthday my baby....mama will always love you more than words!!
