morning routine....

A typical day at the Colby house would consist of a large purple dino, juice, food and a photo shoot. I love the last picture...Ruby appears utterly disgusted with her mother and Mads appears concerns she is bigger than her sister who is 15 months older...

Bipolar baby....

The many faces of Mads...Well I am struggling to keep this updated with current news of the babes...but I will try a little catch up....Mads rolled over for the first time around 4 months...she is now 5 months. Her main motivation to roll over is to watch tv with Ruby. We started her on solid foods around 4 months too...It is a work in progress...Mads is definitely the "chill one"! Ruby adores her and is an awesome big sister to Mads....Mads is in 12 month clothing and appears to be on her way to sharing Ruby's clothes.

Death of MEOW MEOW.....

Ruby loves kitties so much...and me being her mother and having to ability to say no to her made an impulsive decision to get a kitten from a friend in the ward. Ruby would follow the kitten around calling her MEOW MEOW...It was adorable! Well it did escape me when I agreed to taking MEOW MEOW home that possibly Mads would have an opinion on this topic. Poor Mads is allergic. Her little eyes swelled, turned red and the sneezes seemed never ending. So bye-bye MEOW MEOW. MEOW MEOW was relocated to Uncle Dave's and aunt Nicole's.

Well Ruby....apparently has some unresolved issues with the departure of MEOW MEOW. After checking on her one night we realized she had taken the stuffing out of her stuffed kitty.

This was the crime scene......

This was the devastated criminal......
And this is my beautiful daughter who could smile her way out of any trouble...
I love you Bee...Sorry about MEOW MEOW!!

Happy 4th of July!!

Well when daddy is away the girls will play :) Clint was out of town....so the girls took this opportunity to accessorize for the holiday! This is Mads (Madison, if you knew her temperament you would understand the nic name) first 4th and we tried to celebrate it with a bang.

Ruby is not a big fan of getting her hair done...and with Clint gone I had to get creative on how to hold her down to achieve pig-tail glory. The high chair and food had to due today...Ruby probably will not agree but it was totally worth it...she is so darn cute!

I hope you appreciate the effort it took to get this smile...she is a tough cookie to crack!

No holiday would be complete without blueberries and a Barney marathon. Ruby recently discovered the big purple dino...none of us will be the same...She loves him...and is often caught on the monitor having conversations with him...if translated I believe it would read as a love story between Ruby and Barney....

I love these pics....These smiles are what get me out of bed in the morning...I have felt like a single mom this weekend...IT is definitely hard work doing it all on your own....BUT it is so amazing to be with my girls all the time and to watch them grow daily!!

Oh Ruby I am unsure if you are hugging Mads or if you are trying out for the WWF? Will we ever know? (FYI...no child was injured in the taking of this pic)

Happy 4th to our family and friends...WE are so grateful to have the freedoms that we have!

Kissing cousins....

If only we were in Kentucky...Madison is approximately 23 hours older than her cousin Everett...But everywhere we went everyone took them for twins. We got tired of correcting everyone so we let them think they were twins. The best is when my kid brother...who is adamant that he is not having kids for a few years....was pushing the stroller and people thought he was the dad of the twins :)

There are most post to come of all the fun the family had when everyone was at home...but alas I tired and dinner needs to be served...But I had to post on these too they were too cute not to have shared....

Maddy's Baby Blessing...

Well our little angel was blessed. Madison has been such a blessing to our family. It seems weird to think about life with out her in it.

WE Love you Maddy!! Thank you for coming to our family! For those who knew that she had some heart problems at birth...the doctor informed us this week that there is no need to worry and all her test came back perfect. How grateful we are that she is a fighter and is doing well.
