One year down....

On Sunday I opened my eyes to see my husband sleeping peacefully with our little angel in between us. Ruby was lovingly punching her daddy in the face. This is way of saying that she has reached her limit on beauty sleep and would like attention! It was a year ago that day that I stood before family and friends and married my best friend. The last year has been a blur! Some days it feels that we have been married for years...But then I get beamed back to reality and realize I have only had my sweetheart in my life a little over a year. I am going on record saying that I am the luckiest woman...Although our life might not appear perfect to those peering in I would have to disagree....I would not change one thing about where we are right now. I am more in love with my husband today than I was yesterday. I can't imagine where I would be today without his constant guidance and love!! Ruby is my little cherry on the top. Although a wee bit of a surprise...she is my little slice of heaven on earth. When bad days happen all it takes is for me to see her smile and realize that life is really not so bad. I love my family with everything in me!! So a year ago I was having the most glamorous night of my life...a year later...some one looking in might think that it is just another day in the life of the Colby's but for me it is another day of perfection!! Happy Anniversary babe!! I can't wait for another great year....

Happy Valentines Day!!

My first Valentines Day as a married woman...and I had to share it with another woman...go figure! Clint being the romantic that he is took us to the same restaurant he took me when we were engaged for V-day...it was perfect and Ruby stole the show :) It was perfect!!













At her 2 month check up she weighed 11lbs. 11 oz...She is my little fatty!! Oh they grow up to fast...she has also been rolling over since about 6 weeks...More to come soon...she is kind of needing her mother to pay attention to her right now...

A new friend....MAYBE?!

Ruby and I decided to brave air travel and jumped on a plane to spend my last week of maternity leave with my brother and his family....She did amazing on the way down there...no crying...Bonus! It cracked me up that people would see a baby on a plane it was like me having anthrax. Needless to say there was always an open seat next to us for Rubes to stretch out on.



She has started giggling...Dare I say it makes me melt it is to adorable!!



Aunt Chony is schooling Rubes in the importance of Glamour Mag info. Ruby has been very spoiled by her aunties...Ruby convinced Aunt Chony to make her blessing dress. It is going to be gorgeous.



Uncle Abby played referee between the cousins.



Marshall appeared to love Ruby. He called her "Bee". Which melted my heart. He would bring his toys to her to play with. This pic makes me wonder what he is thinking...



But when it came to sitting by each other for a photo opt...he chose life. He would have nothing to do with her sitting next to her...The age difference between Marshall and Ruby is about the same as my older brother and me....How did my mother do it? Bless her!!

A star is born....

OH how cute is she?! My perfect little baby did awesome at her first photo shoot :) I am simply amazed how much she changes on a daily basis...She is such a good natured baby. She has been so spoiled and loved by all the family that has been around for the holidays. It seems that our little family is always working on the next BIG mild stone...the next one is being sealed for all time and eternity in the Temple in March...We are tentatively planning the last weekend in March!! I hope you enjoy the pictures of our little piece of perfection!

Christmas time with the family....

It has been a year of so many changes for the Colby Clan :) Clint and I were married this year. We bought a house. I started a new job. And finally we welcomed the newest addition to our family...our little Ruby Jane!! Some days I feel like my head is still spinning!! Christmas time in our home was full of laughs and excitement. We spent our first Christmas as a family in our first home together. We later went over to Grandma and Grandpa Green's house for more present time...I am not sure what to bribe or threaten the girls with now Santa is gone for another 365 days. This motherhood is a tricky business, still trying to figure it out! We are excited to spend some time next week with Clint's family next week and show off Ruby!! We miss them and are sad they are so far away!! I know I say this on every post but Clint and I are truly grateful for all the love and support our family and friends have showered on us this year! We feel so lucky and blessed as the year is coming to an end...hopefully 2010 slows down A LOT!!

More of Ruby's big day....

My poor husband works nights and went a few days with minimal sleep...He was a trooper and never left my side...I would have never survived those 24 hours without him by my side! I love you Clint with all my heart!! I am so excited about our family and all the places we are headed together!!



My little angel was a little smaller than thought...None of her clothes fit her...but lets face it she still makes it look good!!

Not my shining moment in this world...lets say I did not handle the delivery with much grace...and but somehow I don't care :) I make no apologies for screaming at the doctor...a failed epidural will do that to a girl!!

Baby Ruby is coming to town....

Well Ruby made her big entrance on 12/8/09 at 6:52 am. She weighed 6 pounds 14 ounces. After a long and difficult pregnancy the labor and delivery was no different...BUT the silver lining in the story is that she is perfect...I will post more later...but baby needs to eat now...Clint and I are so grateful for all your love and support. We feel truly blessed to have so many people surrounding us that love us and support us!!
